Through the first project, NATI will receive more than $332,000 to develop and implement the Commercialization Officer Internship and Directed Research Program. This initiative will provide small- and medium-sized enterprises with managerial and business planning skills to bring their technologies to the commercial stage. The program is designed to offer work opportunities to Newfoundland and Labrador University and college graduates and to provide local businesses with quality commercialization advisory services.
NATI is also receiving just over $181,000 through a second project to deliver and implement key innovation programming throughout 2016. The initiatives will bring together individuals and businesses from local communities to learn, share and demonstrate innovation in Newfoundland and Labrador. As the industry association representing the province’s technology industry, NATI helps identify, engage and develop export market opportunities; provides program support for the development and growth of local companies, and bridges technology players through networking and communications.
