Weston is an experienced and knowledgeable financial administrator with a passion for Newfoundland and Labrador and a strong vision of the importance that Information Technology currently plays in our economy and in our future.  Weston is committed to the goal of developing a strong Information Technology sector both to support the booming non-renewable resource industries as well as to provide an avenue of growth and strength for the future when those industries inevitably decline.

In his current role as Director of Finance, zedIT Solutions Inc. (www.zeditsolutions.com), Weston provides direction and leadership in all financial matters for a diverse and dynamic group of companies that have operations throughout North America and employ over 160 Information Technology professionals.

Weston graduated from Memorial University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Commerce Honours (Co-operative) degree and launched his career with Ernst & Young, obtaining his Chartered Accounting designation in 1994.  Weston subsequently joined David A. Hood, Chartered Accountants and later, Grant Thornton LLP, where he developed a loyal group of clients providing sound business, financial, and taxation advice to a diverse group of entrepreneurs, business-owners, and professionals across a wide cross-section of industries.

Weston also currently serves as Treasurer for First Baptist Church and resides in St. John's, Newfoundland with his wife and two children. He enjoys skiing, hiking, golfing, canoeing, and most anything that involves breathing fresh outdoor air.
